Larnaca

In May 2025 Passport News covered a study by ForwardKeys, the travel analytics company, which named Larnaca the rising destination of the summer: a 17 percent increase in demand for holidays in the Cypriot city.

The top ten list included the usual Greek names, Heraklion in Crete and Rhodes among them. Larnaca reached the top of it on a combination that is easy to describe and hard to assemble: good beaches, a real city with its own culture, and prices that remain meaningfully lower than western Europe.

A rise of 17 percent in demand for holidays in the Cypriot resort city.

The island’s airports recorded a jump in passenger traffic in the same period, with a significant renewal programme planned for them. We watch these numbers closely, because the flow of visitors is what turns a holiday apartment into a working asset for the months its owners are not there.
