In October 2025 Passport News reported that Cypriot airports had recorded exceptional numbers in August: growth of more than double the European average, which stood at 4.9 percent.
It was the fourth consecutive month in which the island outpaced the rest of Europe in passenger growth. The explanation is unglamorous and reliable: a widening supply of seats, a denser flight schedule and competitive fares.
Growth of more than double the European average.
